Former Polk County standout D.J. Twitty earned a spot on the All-USA South Athletic Conference first team, the league announced Tuesday.
Twitty capped his final season at Methodist College with the recognition, one of five Methodist played named to the league’s all-conference squad.
The 6-1, 280-pound Twitty helped open holes for a Methodist running attack that finished 32nd nationally among Division III schools, averaging 232.8 yards per game. The Monarchs averaged more than 422 yards of total offense per game in finishing 2-7 on the season.
A three-year starter, Twitty was a second-team all-conference selection last season.
